How do you manage working in a creative field and being a mother?
When you love what you do it is hard to get the balance right. I just take it day by day, some days/weeks I really have to lean into work (and I don't feel bad about that) but I try to make sure this is not everyday. I truly believe finding a career you love will make it way easier to go back to work so its worth the hustle to make it happen.
How do you celebrate Mother’s Day?
We keep it really low key, I am very close to my mum and mother in law and they are a huge support to me so its important I celebrate with them as well as my own kids. We just get out into nature and bring some good food, good coffee and spend the day together.

What advice would you give to new mums who are trying to pave their way as a creative?
I can’t lie work/ family life is very tricky as a creative, its a balancing act and you don’t always find the right balance. My advice would be, do what you can do and don’t beat yourself up if your sometimes out of balance.
How do you celebrate Mother’s Day?
My son gets very excited to give me his mothers day presents that he has bought at the school mothers day stall. He’s always very proud of his purchases. So after I open my many presents we will usually go out for lunch somewhere and then enjoy the day relaxing.

What advice did your mother give you that has influenced how you raise your daughters?
Lots of cuddles with my girls and my mum. And as few plans as possible.
How do you celebrate Mother's Day?
My mother very much led by example and encouraged us to get involved and give everything a go. I'd love my girls to experience everything life has to offer so I try to do the same.
